A C.O.C ensures you, the customer and the government, that your installation is safe and up to code. This certificate is also needed if anything goes wrong and your installation causes any of your possessions to be damaged or destroyed, as your insurance would be well within their rights to repudiate the claim if there is no C.O.C.
